Advanced Fine Art Workshop in Sculpture
Chipata January -February 1999

This was conceived as a conclusion to the previous assemblage basic workshop held in Lusaka in 96 and Ndola in 97. A group of participants was selected from these two to make up the Chipata Team.

A similar structure was used as before- this time over four weeks… A tool shop was established… Morning lectures and afternoon tutorials, as well as evening presentations and discussions took place. Whilst referring to the themes of the earlier workshops, a greater emphasis was placed upon ideas and context and more in-depth viewing of specific artists and movements.

Again the workshop culminated in an exhibition.
